چکیده

Several transition metals (Fe, Cu, Ni, Cr, and Co) were inserted into the Ti-SBA-15 using two-step synthesis methods. XRD, SEM-EDX, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, XRF, UV-DRS analysis used for characterizations. The results confirm preservation of an ordered mesoporous structure well-dispersed Ti-metal, enhanced absorption light compared with Ti-SBA-15. photocatalytic performances evaluated in degradation methylene blue under UV light. show that Co-Ti-SBA-15 exhibited highest activity among prepared photocatalysts blue. significant increase might be attributed to increased reactant adsorption by SBA-15, good distribution TiO2 pores electron transfer mobility due metal doping. In addition efficiency, is a suitable catalyst dye degradation, exhibiting stability over five runs without any deviation structure.

Enhanced photodegradation of dyes on titania-based photocatalysts by adding commercial GeO2 in aqueous suspension.

Adding a small amount of commercial GeO(2) into aqueous suspension significantly enhanced the photocatalytic activity of titania-based photocatalysts for the degradation of dyes.

‘‘Catalytically active Au on Titania’’: yet another example of a strong metal support interaction (SMSI)?

In light of the many similarities between previous studies of the so-called strong metal support interaction (SMSI) involving Gr. VIII metals, and catalytically active Au, it is apparent that these two phenomena must be closely related. That active Au on titania spreads to form a bilayer structure, is electron-rich as determined by theory and experiment, nucleates on reduced Ti defects created ...

Photostimulated reduction processes in a titania hybrid metal-organic framework.

Titanium dioxide is the most widely studied photocatalytic metal oxide system, owing largely to the facile chemical reduction of Ti to Ti, which can act as catalytic redox centres, and the early demonstration of its ability to dissociate water into gaseous hydrogen and oxygen under ultraviolet (UV) illumination. Tailoring of the electronic properties of TiO2 is generally performed by chemical d...

Controlled synthesis of heterogeneous metal-titania nanostructures and their applications.

We describe a new synthetic approach to heterogeneous metal-TiO(2) nanomaterials based on conversion of Ti(3+) to hydrous TiO(2) occurring uniquely on the nanostructured metallic surfaces such as Pt, Au, and Ni nanowires and nanoparticles. The TiO(2) growth mechanism was studied by designing an electrochemical cell. A variety of heterogeneous metal-TiO(2) nanostructures, such as segmented meta...

Effect of titania surface modification of mesoporous silica SBA-15 supported Au catalysts: Activity and stability in the CO oxidation reaction

As part of an ongoing effort to understand the deactivation and possibly improve the stability of metal oxide-supported Au catalysts in the low-temperature CO oxidation reaction, we have investigated the activity and stability of a set of Au catalysts consisting of Au nanoparticles supported on titania surface-modified mesoporous silica SBA-15. The extent of the surface modification was systema...
